Frequently Asked Questions

Who should attend?

All students are welcome to attend, and you don't want to miss this opportunity if:

- You are an aspiring engineer/technologist.

- You want to learn about the current trends and innovations in the field.

- You want to connect to the WiE network in Silicon Valley and beyond.

How many tickets are for sale?

We can sell a maximum of 400 tickets to currently enrolled students. Please get your tickets as soon as possible as they were sold out early for the 2017 WiE Conference.

I can’t afford a ticket, but I would still like to attend, what are my options?

Volunteer. Help out for part of the day and get access to the rest of the conference. Limited spaces are available. Please email us at wie-engineering@sjsu.edu.

What companies will be there?

This is a learning, networking and community building event. While there will be dozens of industry professionals from an array of companies, they will not be here in a recruiting capacity. More than 80 industry professionals attended last year.

Should I bring my resume?

As a rule of thumb, you should never attend a potential networking activity without a copy of your resume. While companies may not be at the WiE Conference in a recruiting capacity, there will be opportunities to meet and network with industry professionals.

What is included in my registration?

Access to all conference sessions and activities, conference swag bag, continental breakfast, lunch, and WiE Innovation Showcase and Networking reception.

What is the refund policy?

If you paid for a ticket and are no longer able to attend, you may request a refund until March 1, 2018. No refunds will be issued after March 1, 2018.
